Elevate

This promotion for a Papercraft Competition could have been created in photoshop. I would take these 3D letters and layer them into a sky photo. I could then add the balloon-like strings and shadows to certain planes of the letters. I would also add the text and put a drop shadow beneath it.
This image uses the design elements of shape and color. The rainbow shade of colors makes the promotion fun and interesting. It was a clever idea to make these balloons in the shape of various letters. Also, the dimension added to these letters makes them seem more believable as real balloons.
The designer also used repetition, as each letter shape is very similar, yet they also used variance, since the letters are each a different shape and color.
The designer did a good job of taking a clever idea and keeping a fun, playful style throughout the design. It makes me want to enter this competition.
